Demetrius Logwood, is a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) with the Indiana School of Medicine. As an HRBP, Demetrius partners with clients to define and develop HR strategies for workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee engagement, and culture. Success in this role is heavily dependent upon developing and cultivating key relationships throughout his client portfolio.
Demetrius joined the School of Medicine with 28 years of human resources experience, which includes 20 years at the Director level. Demetrius believes the most essential part of his job is to learn, listen, and interpret what the customer needs while providing exemplary response and follow-up to any concerns. His strength is building strong relations across all levels of employee groups to lessen anxieties associated with interacting with the human resources department.
While Demetrius enjoys being a father to his son and daughter he finds his greatest fulfillment in being a grandfather to three-year-old Adisynn, who has permanently wrapped her “Pop Pop” around her little finger. He lost the battle minutes after she was born and she stared intently into his eyes (he has the pictures to prove it was intentional.) When he’s not playing the role of the world’s greatest grandfather, he enjoys spending time with his family, friends, playing golf, and supporting America’s team the Dallas Cowboys.
